Project Management Training and Consulting

Microsoft® Project:

Microsoft® Project Tips:

Practical tips to help you increase the value of MS Project as a tool for project management.

MS Project Tips ....

Using a case study and hands on techniques, students will learn to go inside the software and control how it functions.

One of the most common complaints about MS Project is “It keeps changing my numbers on me.” This course is designed to share with the students how the various functions work and how to setup the program so it “works their way.”

Students will learn how to create custom Views including Gantt Charts, Tables, Filters, Groups and Reports. Some of the customized Views are designed to make entering data easier. Other Views, which may have associated Filters and Groupings, are designed to enhance reporting and presentation capabilities. The student materials will contain examples of Microsoft® Project screens as well as explanatory material and directions for completing the exercises. These materials are also designed to serve as both a reference and a self paced tutorial for the student after they complete the course.

Who Should Attend

This course is intended for students who have had some prior experience with Microsoft® Project and wish to progress beyond making simple Gantt Charts schedules to understanding the true capability of the software as a professional planning and tracking tool.
